It's The Little Things - Extra Page From Scrapbook Workshop

 Hello scrappers & stampers:

I am here today with a couple of quick tips on how to get a full companion page layout to the single one found in CTMH's It's The Little Things Scrapbook Workshop.  With just a couple of changes in the cutting directions and an extra piece each of white and black cardstock you can have a second companion page.

Below is each page of the cutting directions that require a change: (click to view larger image)

All Project 4 pieces have been highlighted as they will need to be cut twice.

On page 3, for the 6 . 6 Black Bows & Dots paper, you will repeat these directions for both sheets:  first cut two .25 inch strips, then two .75 inch strips and finally cut the 4 x 4 inch square.  Save the 2 x 4 inch scraps to use as a substitute on the page 6 instructions.

On page 4, instead of cutting the strips for page 4 at 1.75 inches, simply cut them down to 1.5 inches and you can get 4 equal pieces.

On page 5, repeat the 1.5 inch strips on both the lemonade and lagoon papers.  Also, cut both B&W floral & words papers into 4 triangles as shown.

On page 6, substitute the leftover scraps from the Black Bows & Dots paper (mentioned earlier) for these pieces which are tucked behind torn sections on the 3rd layout.  You could also substitute the multi-color text paper if you prefer, or even b/w text paper from your scrap stash.  You will need to cut a second black 10 x 10 piece.  Also each of the 5 pieces of white daisy shown in the final illustration will need to be cut twice.

On page 7 you will need an additional 9 1/2 inch square of white daisy.  I have also shown layout 4 at the bottom of this image.  I would move the circled embellishments to the second page, in order to make the banner of string appear to be one continuous piece.  Then you can add additional stickers or stamped images wherever you think they may be needed.

So that's a long way of telling you how to get a pretty easy duplicate page.

The It's The Little Things special ends today, and while the products may (or may not) still be available on the website in March, the discounted prices usually expire.

You will still have several pieces of 6 x 6 paper leftover.  If you happen to create yet another layout or cards, I would love to feature your projects on my blog.  Just email me a photo of your project (does not have to have photos attached) at the email found in the left sidebar.

Till I see you again, happy stamping & scrapping!
