Tri-Fold Card Using Stamps from my Stash

Good Monday morning.  Last week while I was talking with a friend, I was reminded how many stamps I have in my stash, from lots of other companies besides Close To My Heart. Wasn't it a shame that we still had stamps that had not yet seen ink, even though they had been in our stash for quite some time.

We resolved to do something about that.  So I pulled out a Unity Stamp set called Bloom & Simplify to use.  It was the first set sitting on the shelf holding my Unity Stamps.  Then I looked at Freshly Made Sketches for their latest inspiration. Could I make the two work together for a quick card?

But, of course, I can.  I decided a tri-fold card would work with this design.  I had been watching old videos of fancy fold cards and wanted to try this technique.

The sentiments are from another old Unity Set called Give Thanks.  I masked the flower when I stamped the inside text over the image.  On the front, I added shimmer mist down the front of the card centered around the flower image. Even though my camera wouldn't pick it up, the shimmer looks nice with the luster of the pearls I added around the circle window.

I used a circle punch to cut the window in the front of the card, but this technique could be even more impressive if you used a stamp with a matching die.  I might give that a try next time.
