Catching up on Workshop Kits, Working with Leftovers

I had the opportunity to scrap with my sister this past weekend and we concentrated on finishing all our CLOSE TO MY HEART workshops from the last few months and making layouts with the leftovers.  She had found lots of layout examples on Pinterest, and we used those as starting points - sometimes combining ideas from several sources to make our own magic.  I apologize for not having taken detailed notes, but really it was a conglomeration of talent out there that inspired us.  We thank them all for sharing.  The scrapbooking sisterhood is a real blessing.

You can watch the video here to see the 4 layouts above in detail.  You can see which workshop kits are still available by clicking here.

Here are photos of the other Serenity layouts I told you about. These were done from an additional paper pack and sticker sheet.  The Class of 2021 die-cut was available on Cricut (not CTMH), and the flower clusters on the second layout are in the CTMH Serenity die-cut package.  The vellum quote is not CTMH.

You will notice that the second 2021 die-cut is of Blue Belle shimmer paper with a white cardstock overlay.  Shimmer paper can be difficult to adhere a layer over the top, and her card was a bit warped.  We think the best solution will be to make that into a flip flap as the protector will then keep the card straight and flat.  It may not be necessary as the card could flatten out on its own.  But we liked having a back-up plan.  Shimmer trim on the pages, and shimmer mists on the flowers really helped to bring the layouts to life.

These details are lovely, even if we do say so ourselves.

How are you doing on your workshop kits?  Are you trying to catch up a little before the upcoming National Scrapbook Day activities?
